About GIM

First of all I would like to tell you that, I used to think that doing MBA is just like achieving something great but after 9 months of my joining I realized that it was boring. It is ,may be because of my wrong perception about MBA or GITAM or Myself, before joining it.

In GITAM there is trimester system , and MBA is of 6 Trimesters and in every trimester you have 8 subjects ( except 6th Trim) . For students evaluation they consider Internal assessment and Final exam.
Internal Assessment is of 40 marks , which consists of your class room performances like presentations, Assignments, 2 Surprise Quizzes and Mid Trim exam( which is held at the end of  45 days of each Trimester)
Final trim exam is of 60 marks .
At the end of 3rd Trim and 5th trim too , college will conduct a Viva-vice and it is compulsory to attend.
In GITAM there are two Internships : Minor and Major , Minor will be of 1 month which will be held after 3rd Trim and entire 6th Trim will be your Major Internship, so in 6th Trim no classes only internship and at the end of both the Internships you have to submit the report to the college as well as company and then you have to give a presentation based on your internship .

My suggestions regarding Internship
1) Don't depend on college but try your own and choose the area which you want in your specialization
2) Prepare the list of the companies where you want the internship and call them
3) Be ready to go anywhere in India
4) Choose the topics related to your specialization
5) Do your best , so that you can get the attention of the management of that comp.

These suggestions are applicable for both the internships.

About GITAM

Hello Friends............
As i have promised that i will share my experiences about my MBA from GITAM(Gandhi Institute Of Technology and Management) University......
GITAM University is having 7 BLOCKS , they are- Engineering college, Pharmacy, Dental , Law, Architecture , GIM ( GITAM Institute of Management) and GSIB( GITAM school of international business)
All the colleges are in the same compound.
I joined GIM  on 16th June 2011.
The college is having a very nice infrastructure like nice class rooms, English lab(To learn English spoken), Computer lab and college library as well as central library also, where you can find your course book and you can spend time till 11 PM but not after that. The college provides the Hostel facility also, Hostel arrangements are very nice but food is no eatable for north Indians, you have to compromise here, because you can't get north Indian foods in hostel.

The main issue over here is Faculties , most of them are boring. Some of them are really nice you can get help from them to solve subject related doubts.

Hello Friends.
Going further from previous post:

vi) Reading news paper every day is must for intraday as well as delivery
Now you can start trading by logging into your account. Here to operate your account you require to remember your Login Id, Password and 2FA Password.

Now some shortcut keys for placing the orders and knowing your status
Here you have to use function key
To place a buy order - click on a particular scrip and then F1 or Fn+ F1 and then you can put your order.
To place a sell order- click on a particular scrip and then F2 or Fn+ F2 and then you can put your order
F3 or Fn +F3 - It is to know the status of a particular scrip, whether order has been placed or executed or not
Alt+F6- It is to know about the over all status of the trade , whether you are making profit or loss.

These are the basic keys , used very frequently.

Although i am new for this trading business but i would like to reply to the queries of the readers.
Thank you

Hi Friends..
Its been a long time.
So, Continue from last post..............
After getting the Demat account , if you want to trade on your own then you must have a laptop or desktop and net connection, or else you can assign this task to your broker.
Then you get the software for trading installed into your laptop or desktop and your broker will do that installation free of cost, and after that you can do the trading.
But before starting the trading..............
i) You go to NSE website ( http://nseindia.com/) and BSE website (http://www.bseindia.com/) and see 50 scrips as well as 30 scrips of NSE as well as BSE.
ii) You observe the opening , high, low and closing price of the scrips for at least 7 days.
iii) Now you decide whether you want to go for long term or short term. Short term can of 1 day , which is also called Intraday (where you buy and sell the shares same day) or maximum 7 days.
Long term which is called Delivery can be of 1 month or more than 1 month.
iv) Now you have to decide about selection of the scrips for that you can ask to your broker or if you know about then the Technical analysis then you can do the technical analysis or the least you can do is to acquire the Historical data of a particular scrip from NSE website and you can see what is the least and the highest price within a certain time period like 1or 3or 6 months or 1 year.
v) Now you see which scrip has reached its least trading price, you can buy that as per your limit ( Like for intraday the limit is at least 5 times of your deposit and for Delivery it is 1 time of your deposit.)
Next for tomorrow
